  • Q How to deal with valve leakage?

    A
Valve leakage may be caused by damage to the sealing surface, corrosion of the medium or wear of the valve stem. Please close the upstream and downstream valves immediately and contact the Rick 400 service hotline. The technician will guide you through the AR remote collaboration system:
① Check whether the sealing surface is embedded with foreign matter (use endoscope detection)
② Verify the straightness of the valve stem (provide spectral analysis data reference)
③ Confirm the packing box clamping force (the recommended torque value can be queried in the electronic valve passport)
If on-site repair is required, the satellite service station will respond within 2 hours and carry spare parts (WC6/CF8M, etc.) of the same material as the original valve for replacement.
  • Q What should I do if the valve is stuck during operation?

    A
The sticking is mostly caused by medium crystallization (such as chemical pipelines) or lubrication failure (high-temperature steam system). You can try:
① For ball valves: inject cleaning solvent (need to match the medium characteristics)
② For gate valves: loosen deposits through partial opening/closing actions
③ For stop valves: check whether the valve stem thread is damaged (use ultrasonic thickness gauge to assist in judgment)
It is recommended to implement a preventive maintenance plan every quarter, and Rick engineers will use non-destructive flaw detectors to evaluate the internal status.
  • Q How to obtain original valve accessories?

    A
Rick has established a national spare parts cloud warehouse system, and 3000+ specification accessories can be checked in real time. You can:
① Scan the QR code on the valve nameplate to obtain the accessory code
② Log in to the customer service platform 3D selection system
③ Contact the regional service manager to obtain 24-hour emergency delivery (covering 85% of prefecture-level cities)
All accessories are verified by mechanical performance tests to ensure 100% compatibility with the original valve.
  • Q How to define the service scope during the valve warranty period?

    A
The warranty period of Rick valves is implemented according to API standards:
① 10 years for metal valve body
② 3 years for elastic seals
③ 2 years for electronic actuators
Support services include: free replacement of defective parts, provision of replacement valves (during failure), and compensation for direct losses caused by valve problems (third-party inspection report required). If the warranty period is exceeded, you can purchase an extended warranty service package and enjoy a 20% discount on accessories.
  • Q How to choose the right valve type for a new project?

    A
Visit the "Working Condition Selection System" on Rick's official website and enter the following parameters:
    ① Medium characteristics (temperature/pressure/corrosiveness)
② Pipeline nominal diameter (automatically matches DN15-DN900mm)
③ Operating frequency (select elastic/rigid seals)
The system will generate a technical solution including a 3D model and provide application cases for the same type of working conditions (including comparisons with standards such as ASME/JIS). For complex projects, you can apply for an expert team to conduct on-site inspections and issue a free selection verification report.
